Roger Huntley

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I spent my early years living in Diablo Dam, Washington, a small community near the Canadian border.  It was there that I gained my love for the outdoors. Formal education occurred in Oregon and later in the Seattle area where I obtained my Professional Electrical Engineer License and enjoyed a successful engineering career.

Growing up I always enjoyed drawing, and my dad was an artist, but it was not until I retired in 2012 and moved to Sequim WA that I actually started painting, first in oils and quickly moving to watercolors.

My watercolor experience has developed by taking classes and workshops from nationally known artists- like Frank Eber, Joan Archer, Hung Nguyen and several local artists---Shirley Rudolf, Sally Cays, and Shirley Mercer.

I find that painting is a very relaxing and enjoyable pastime as I attempt to convey my visions into watercolor paintings.
