Connie Drysdale

My interest in art began as a young child when, at the age of 4, I drew a picture of an elephant for my aunt, placing the elephant's trunk where the tail belonged!  My aunt loved the drawing. Over the years I have continued my interest in art and have taken art classes at San Jose State University, Stanford University, and the University of California, eventually focusing on watercolor. I want to thank my many wonderful watercolor art teachers, among them Jane Hofstetter and Mike Bailey—both award-winning artists—who have taught me so much about watercolor. I have participated in juried art shows, Santa Cruz county open studios, and my work has been represented in several galleries, including the Triton Museum of Art. With every painting I still struggle to make the beauty of God's creation even more beautiful and eye-pleasing.
