Georgianna Seko

Although I have been interested in art since childhood, I didn’t begin to paint seriously until 2003. My first love was watercolor painting and I was fortunate to find a wonderful instructor, George Lin. He became my mentor and good friend. He had a great influence in my mastery of the watercolor medium, and encouraged me as I developed my own style.

I also took courses in drawing, pastels, acrylics, and oil painting. I really took an interest in water mixable oil paints and have frequently used that medium since then. One of my instructors, Logan Fox, encouraged me to try portrait painting, something that I did not believe I was capable of. With his talent and teaching ability, I was able to conquer my fear and discovered a new avenue for expressing myself.

The natural beauty of this area of western Washington continues to inspire me. There is never a lack of subject matter from which to choose. This has fueled my passion for painting landscapes.

I am thankful to have discovered an activity that brings me joy and enriches my life. I enjoy sharing my work with others and I hope it brings pleasure to those who view my paintings.
